Course Description:
According to the Guiding Principles for Dual Language Education 3rd Ed, a quality dual language curriculum is one that is "standards-based and promotes attainment of the three core goals of dual language education." Participants will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of unique elements of a dual language curriculum, examine an example of a dual language curriculum map and unit, and begin designing their own curriculum maps and unit plans. Participants who have attended or read Teaching for Biliteracy will be able to use that learning in this guided two-day work session. Curriculum design teams are encouraged to attend and work together to maximize progress and impact for their program.
Audience: Dual Language program curriculum design teams, Dual Language educators familiar with Teaching for Biliteracy
