Coalition for equity, diversity, and disability (CEDD)

The purpose of the Coalition for Equity, Diversity, and Disability (CEDD) is to address the needs of linguistically and culturally diverse students with disabilities and their families through interdisciplinary collaboration. 

The goals of the Coalition are varied:

    • To become involved in initiatives that focus on diverse Students with Disabilities (SWD), such as in grants, Teacher Preparation and Inservice Professional Development, and ongoing dialogue, research, and dissemination.
    • To impact opportunity, achievement, and outcomes in programming and services for diverse SWD.
    • To advocate for improved supports and services for diverse SWD.
    • To bring the voices of students, families, and educators in advocating for development and implementation of policy and practices and initiatives impacting diverse SWD.
