Who We Are

The Multistate Association for Bilingual Education, Northeast is a non-profit organization of individuals whose purpose is to promote bilingualism and multiculturalism as assets that provide cognitive, social, emotional, educational, and employment advantages for all students.

MABE is affiliated with the National Association of Bilingual Education (NABE), the only national professional organization devoted to representing Bilingual Learners and Bilingual Education professionals representing members that include Bilingual and English Language Learner (ELL) teachers, parents, paraprofessionals, administrators, professors, advocates, researchers, and policy makers.

MABE is governed by an Executive Board and funded through membership dues, grants, conference fees, sponsorships and consulting services.

    3. Preparation of all educators to effectively teach the diverse populations of today and tomorrow.
    4. Collaboration and networking among educators, families, and communities for student success.
    5. Development of continuous research that builds and expands on the current knowledge base.
