Program Assessment is a type of Technical Assistance provided to districts or schools who are interested in assessing and improving the educational programming and quality of their current programs that serve Multilingual Learners.

Program Assessment consists of a multi-day assessment guided by current research and best practices in the field. 

The goal of this review is to support program effectiveness and long-term student academic and linguistic success. 

Program Assessment includes:

  • Multi-day assessment
  • Review of relevant documents and data, interviews, classroom visits, and focus groups 
  • Resources from current research and best practices in the field 
  • Assessment conducted by veteran multilingual learner educators
  • Additional resources from MABE

Outcome: 

  • Written report and verbal presentation with key findings and recommendations for next steps

Following the Program Assessment, MABE can provide continued Technical Assistance and/or Professional Development.
