    Topic on Practice: Implementing RtI in a Dual Language School, Amigos School, Cambridge, MA

    The intervention team at Amigos School is excited to share our experience and best practices for implementing RtI using a biliterate framework. We’ll discuss how we have adapted district assessments to reflect our local norms and how we determine interventions through a holistic view of our dual language learners.

      "For dual language education programs, strong administrative support needs to come from the school district, the local board of education, and state policies, as these entities and policies can facilitate or hinder program implementation."
      • Panel presentation of exemplars of supports by district and school leaders.
      • MABE introduces the "District Readiness Continuum: tool describing levels of commitment and support for new programs.

      Kick off the 8th Annual Southern New England Regional Conference for Dual Language Programs with a visit to a Dual Language school or program!

      Registration Information:

      • Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Most tours have limits of 8-12 participants.
      • One person can register and pay for multiple attendees. Payment Methods: Check, Credit Card or Purchase Order accepted for groups of 5 or more.
      • Schedule may be subject to change. All registered participants will receive a confirmation email the week before their scheduled tour. In the case of inclement weather, please check the MABE website and your email.
      • In the event that you are unable to attend a registered session, please let MABE know so someone else can take your place!
