Celebrating You!

October 2024 MABE eNEWS Carlton Viveiros Elementary School in Fall River Public Schools, MA expanded to grade 3. More information in our DLBE Regional Directory.

October marked the month of the bilingual child! 

The U. S. Department of Education hosted the "Educación En Acción” Summit featuring Nino Ciampa and the Hartt Salsa All-Stars, who will play at MABE's 50th Birthday Celebration.

Congratulations to Mattahunt Elementary School, home to the Toussaint L'Ouverture Dual Language Academy in Boston Public Schools, MA, for winning EdVestors' 2024 School On The Move Prize!

Executive Director Phyllis Hardy presented at Citizens for Public Schools' webinar "Multilingual Education in MA: Learning from the past and present to empower future learners." 

Salem Public Schools, MA completed La Siembra to lay the groundwork for implementation of a new middle school DLBE program. 

MABE launched 2024 DLBE Networks for Leaders, Coaches, Elementary Teachers, and Special Educators. Registration for Secondary Educators is still open. 

Congratulations to Tandem Teachers Liz Howard and Shera Simpson for launching their online course.
