Dual Language Education (DLE) coaching  

VIRTUAL PD: Three 2-hour virtual meetings 1:00 - 3:00 pm on Monday, August 14, Wednesday, August 16, and Friday, August 18. Registrants commit to attending all sessions. Zoom links will be sent out the first week in August.

FACILITATOR: Amy Finsmith, Supervisor of Multilingual Education, Windham, CT  

DESCRIPTION: Many DLE teachers begin their careers with great enthusiasm but are left wondering what makes DLE instruction different from "good instruction." Coaching teachers can help teachers deepen their understanding of DLE Pedagogy, feel more confident and successful in their classrooms, and more consistently incorporate specific best practices in their daily instruction. Participants will examine and discuss the possible impact different approaches to coaching and will get hands-on practice with a coaching model developed specifically for DLE programs.

AUDIENCE: DLE coaches, coordinators, principals, and teacher-leaders who serve as mentors for their colleagues.

REGISTRATION: Registration closes Tuesday, August 1. Minimum of 10 registrants.
