Holistic bilingualism & ASSESSMENT 

VIRTUAL PD: Two 2-hour virtual meetings 9:00am - 11:00am on Tuesday, August 15 and Thursday, August 17. Registrants commit to attending all sessions. Zoom links will be sent out the first week in August.

FACILITATOR: Sue McGilvray-Rivet, MABE Consultant & Retired Educator, MA  

DESCRIPTION: This 4 hour workshop will explore the rationale and process for creating and monitoring biliteracy benchmarks and trajectories based on the work of Kathy Escamilla and colleagues. Participants will evaluate their own biliteracy assessments and either produce a plan for creating benchmarks or revise their current plan for monitoring the biliteracy growth and development of their Dual Language Education (DLE) program students.

AUDIENCE: Leaders, coaches, interventionists, special educators, or any staff that conducts assessments and monitors growth in DLE programs. 

REGISTRATION: Registration closes Tuesday, August 1. Minimum of 10 registrants.
