The purpose of this conference is to create the opportunity for dual language educators to network and collaborate, increase our professional development, share instructional methods that promote bilingualism and multiculturalism, disseminate current research, and learn new ways to reach out to families and communities. This conference is an opportunity for school and district leaders, classroom teachers, and staff working in Dual Language Education programs to network with other Dual Language practitioners, engage in professional development for Dual Language instruction, and learn how to develop and advocate for Dual Language Education.
Before the pandemic, we also hosted pre-conference school visits so districts can learn from each other in-person, and we are eager to continue this practice as soon as it is safe to do so.
Save the date for our upcoming Dual Language Conference: March 11, 2023 – BACK TO IN-PERSON! Add #MABE2023 to your calendar.

Pre-Conference Roundtable Advocacy Event
On March 19, 2022, MABE held a Pre-Conference Virtual Roundtable Advocacy Event for invited guests including district leaders, state education agencies, legislators, higher education institutions, and community organizations from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine. By making connections and creating opportunities for collaboration among many stakeholders, we will be able to move forward together in creating the most equitable education and language learning programs for our students, especially those in underserved groups.
