Multistate Association for Bilingual Education, Northeast A nonprofit organization for educators, families, and policy makers |
Conference The purpose of this conference is to create the opportunity for dual language educators to network and collaborate, increase our professional development, share instructional methods that promote bilingualism and multiculturalism, disseminate current research, and learn new ways to reach out to families and communities. This conference is an opportunity for school and district leaders, classroom teachers, and staff working in Dual Language Education programs to network with other Dual Language practitioners, engage in professional development for Dual Language instruction, and learn how to develop and advocate for Dual Language Education. MABE is already planning for our 2025 Conference. To learn about our 2024 Conference, visit our Past Conference: 2024 page. | Pre-Conference Roundtable MABE's Pre-Conference Virtual Roundtable is an advocacy event for invited guests and interested parties including school and district leaders, state education agencies, legislators, higher education institutions, and community organizations from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine. By making connections and creating opportunities for collaboration among many stakeholders, we will be able to move forward together in creating the most equitable education and language learning programs for our students, especially those in underserved groups. Pre-Conference School Visits School Visits are rewarding and valuable experiences that create the opportunity for educators to observe and learn what a DL program looks like in practice. Multiple schools in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island will open their doors for tours in February 2024. Call for school visits and registration updates to come late 2024.
