This workshop uses the CASEL (Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning) framework to introduce a theoretical structure to support practical classroom activities that can be developed and implemented in different learning models, such as in-person, hybrid, or remote learning. Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is recognized as an integral part of learning and necessary to experience success in school, establish authentic family and community partnerships, and negotiate workplace demands. Participants will be introduced to the 5 Competencies for School and Life Success and will experience and participate in developing and understanding examples of real life applications at different life stages, from childhood to adulthood, and across different contexts. Audience: This workshop is planned for teachers of Dual Language Education Programs.
