Facilitated by Silvia Lima, Grade 3 Portuguese Dual Language teacher, International Charter School

Date: Tuesday, August 13, 2019

After observing and dissecting two model lessons, participants will be guided to write a lesson adapted for their emergent bilingual learners. This lesson will include content, cultural and language objectives that foster expressive language. It will also contain sheltering strategies such as planning for student interactions, supporting learning with realia, and making text accessible to make content comprehensible.
